Join us for compelling conversations on key education issues at the ELDA Spotlight on Education Dinner Series, a new speaker program for educational leaders sponsored by the Educational Leadership Development Academy (ELDA) in the University of San Diego’s School of Leadership and Education Sciences.

The series features eminent researchers and practitioners who will support school leaders in keeping current on the most effective ways to improve the performance of all children, close achievement gaps, accelerate learning, and at the same time achieve social equity. Each session is structured to foster open discussion through small group interaction and question-and-answer opportunities. The ELDA Spotlight on Education Dinner Series is designed to provide new insights on how to:

• Create organizational coherence and sustainability that ensures social justice and equity in schools.
• Strategically reshape the culture and context of leadership to create and maintain professional learning communities.
• Implement a school focus on active in-depth learning for understanding.
• Lead by focusing on fundamentals: curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional culture to accelerate the achievement of all children .
• Design comprehensive programs that meet the needs of underserved children, including English Learners.
